PEGGY Mc̱CREARY
Peggy Mc̱Creary is an Orff Specialist at the Grenoble Studio of Musical Arts where she teaches children from preschool through high school. She received her B.M. from the University of New Mexico and her Orff Teacher Training Certificate from the University of Denver. She then joined this faculty to teach recorder and one of the only percussion classes offered nationally. She holds a summer Certificate from the Orff Institute, Salzburg, as well. She has taught recorder and percussion in teacher training courses at the Universities of Denver, Northern Colorado, Hawaii, and New Mexico, workshops for American Orff Schulwerk Association chapters nationwide, and presented at more than two dozen AOSA National Conferences.
In addition to an Appreciation Award and Lifetime Honorary Membership from The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Orff Schulwerk Association, she was presented with the Distinguished Service Award from AOSA in 2018. Prior to teaching at the Studio, she taught Orff classes, Kindergarten through sixth grade, as well as band, in Albuquerque. Her video on Orff instrument care can be found in the AOSA Video Library. She has contributed articles to the national publications Orff Echo and Re-Echoes II, was a collaborator on Jane Frazee’s book, Discovering Keetman and was an author for the AOSA newsletter Reverberations, where instrument repair tips can be found in her column "Refurberations." Peggy recently retired from playing oboe and English horn with the Colorado Wind Ensemble, and now plays percussion with this group.

Barbara Grenoble taught in the Englewood public schools for eleven years followed by eight years as an Orff music specialist at National Jewish Hospital and early childhood centers. Then, in 1979, she and Peggy MᶜCreary renovated an old church in Englewood and opened the Grenoble Studio of Musical Arts. Ms. Grenoble was a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and received her Teacher's Certificate in Orff Schulwerk from the University of Toronto and a summer Certificate from the Orff Institute, Salzburg.

She influenced the teaching of Orff Schulwerk nationally by instituting and directing one of the early American teacher training programs at the University of Denver, and by teaching at the universities of Indiana, Northern Colorado, New Mexico, Hawaii, Brandon-Canada, Colorado at Denver, Metro State, and the Colorado State University - Pueblo. Teachers all over the United States have benefited from her hundreds of workshops given at Orff chapters, national AOSA and MENC Conferences and Early Childhood Education Programs.
